NEED LOVE FIND

So in response to One Blondes post I have also found some animal print booties that I saw on the cobra snake blog that I lurrrvveee. However,  even though they may not be Jimmy choo, they are vintage (unless someone knows the make and where I can order some then do tell! As I don't think they are doc m's) so I will have to search for my own pair or make friends with a shoe desinger/maker who will happily create a pair just for me- dream on. hmmm...

However, thanks to stylebubble (AMAZING BLOG!!) I have also fallen in love with these Adair hiking boots....

WANT LOVE NEED

I NEED these Jimmy Choo leopard print high tops, I usually don't even like Jimmy Choo designs but I haven't been able to stop thinking about them since I saw them, alas I cannot afford them but I am seriously considering saving up for the next 6 months because they would probably be the best investment of my life and fulfill me as a person. if you think about it logically.

Perfect for jazzing up the camels and Khaki Greens of the Military look, Imagine with loose Linen khaki shirt, tight, high waisted leather mini and tortoise shell shades...

DOMINIQUE HOLLINGTON

Ok so he's not exactly a brand new face anymore but Dominique Hollington is amazing and really different looking. He is definitely my favourite Male Model at the moment, love how masculine he comes across on Camera! This comes through best in his shoots with photographer Karim Sadli for Man About Town and I-D Magazine, check it out...

NIGHT TO DAY

I like the idea of wearing silk floor length evening gowns casually in the day with big woolie jumpers slouched over the top.

As per usual not the most practical idea from me...but the appeal of this look is just undeniable, ever since I saw Carrie in SATC2 nonchalently wandering around her NY pad in emerald green floor length Halston I have been hankering for the day when I live in castle drinking only tea and champagne, having parties and wandering romantically through the surronding forests

"But when would you actually wear it?" -Who cares.

Ok so I know that this season is all about simplicity, classic shapes blah blah blah (everything one red loves!) but although I do love a classic camel coat, a great pair of wide leg trousers and a quality cashmere knit as much as the next person, I need some excitement in my wardrobe. I know it's the credit crunch, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of escapism. Think the Christian Dior couture show, yes John Galliano's vision of explosive colour and model sized flowers is perhaps not easily transferable to the highstreet but if you've got no money you might as well hanker after something exciting. Here are some piccies of my fav looks to spice up this seasons neutral colour palette and classic shape.

MINERAL MIRACLE

Ok so when you have decribed something as a 'Miracle' it's obvious that you think it's pretty good, but literally Bare Mineral Make-up is AMAZING. I know whenever you walk through a department store the caked sales assistant will tell you anything to get you to buy the latest 50 quid foundation but i definately bought into the bare minerals sales pitch and having been using it daily for a week i would definately reccommend you go out and get you one of their great value 'starter kits' immediately (you get 2 foundations, a bronzer, a concealer, a highlight and 3 make up brushes for £45!!!)

Just to give you some further info. All the make up comes in a powder form that you buff onto your face, it gives you great coverage and feels much lighter than a liquid. Plus best of all ladies this make up is GOOD for your face, it doesn't have any chemicals and lots of skin-loving zinc so now when you fall asleep drunk with all your make up on - it is not problemo you'll wake up looking more fresh faced then you did the morning before!

BUY IT. BUY IT NOW.

damned if you, damned if you don't.

Ok, I understand the title is rather drastic to say the least but I am going through a typical moment in my life where I want to experiment with my hair. You are probably thinking 'What's the big deal?' or 'Get over it.' or even 'I don't care'. But my hair is red (natural ofcourse) and all my life I have had people either tell me they love it or I have just recieved mocking chants of 'GINNGGERRR!!' from across the street (the classic red head story). Pretty different reactions and quite confusing. Not going to lie, I do like the colour of my hair now but when ever I see coo girls with coo colours in their hair a pang of jealousy hits me right in the hair follicle and it just keeps getting stronger. I'm not entirely sure of what colour or how yet, so here are some piccys to express what I mean:

Models off duty a.k.a good looks I am going to steal.

Here are a few street style shots I found tonight from the really good blog http://altamiranyc.blogspot.com/ (check it) which focuses on catching the style of models off-duty. Just thought I would share the looks I will probably be stealing this week.

I really like the sheer socks and ankle boots combo- so simple and effortlessly cool.

I love the all white look and how it is made less obvious by the contrasting black brogues and tan belt. Also, I really want a long kaftan/cardigan/blouse thing!!

Grey sweater = boyfriend chic. Easy.

the longer the better.

Long skirts have been an interest of mine for a while now especially the tight tube style long skirts that force me to walk like a geisha but look so cool. Well, this little interest is quickly becoming an obsession as all I seem to want in my wardrobe right now in preparation for winter is a range of long skirts to fit my every mood. I just love the idea of mixing thick grungey jumpers with a floaty feminine long skirt, or for a more chic clean look a small almost cropped jumper. But then I do also love a good silky loose blouse belted into a long skirt...basically I could go on forever as the amount of great looks the long skirt can offer is endless in my opinion. Here is the evidence.

A colourful feeling...

Every now and then I notice myself naturally moving towards a certain colour. For instance, over the past few months I have been obsessing over nudes and crying with joy over camel (which I still do). However, I am now developing a desire for this golden/greeny colour and looking at the Winter trends on style.com, I'm not the only one...
